HOLDEN V8 1969 HT Little known engine choices and specifications.

In 1969 with the introduction of the HT model Holden the choice of four V8 engines were available (As you can see in the picture below taken from an original owners hand book).
* 253 Low Compression at 8 to 1 or 253 High Compression 9 to 1.
* 307 from GMC 8.75 to 1 Compression.
* 308 Holden new power horse 9 to 1 Compression.
* 350 Low Compression at 9 to 1 or 350 High Compression 10.25 to 1.
The owners manual claims horse power for the 350 H.C at 300Hp at 4800 R.P.M and Torque 380 (lbs./ft.) at 3200 R.P.M
No surprise that the HT 350GTS took 1st & 3rd place in the 1969 HARDIE-FERODO 500.
